Scribe AI

Scribe AI is an extension for Visual Studio Code that enables programmers to utilize ChatGPT or GPT right inside the code editor. This AI programming assistant can be used for many tasks such as understanding complex code, modifying and improving code, and generating comments for code. Programmers can open a chat window to start talking with Scribe AI by highlighting a piece of code and using the plus icon. Conversations are saved in the workspace as notes which allows users to add notes without sending them to the AI. The latest update includes Ask AI, where questions related to the code get answered by the AI; and AI Edit feature which modifies code according to instructions given. Moreover, settings are available for switching between ChatGPT and GPT, changing API keys, etc.
