MacWhisper

MacWhisper is an advanced audio transcription technology developed by OpenAI specifically designed for use on Mac computers. It's easy to use; simply drag and drop your audio file, and you'll get an accurate transcription in seconds. MacWhisper supports a wide variety of formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, and MP4 videos, and it can transcribe in over 100 languages. The Reader Mode allows you to edit and delete segments from the transcript, search words within the text, and highlight them for easier referencing.

The Pro version of MacWhisper includes the Large model which offers the highest accuracy but takes longer to generate. The regular version uses Tiny (English only) or Base (100 languages) models that are still very accurate but much faster. You can also select the language you want it transcribed in to improve accuracy even further. For more advanced features such as combining segments into sentences, CSV export capability, translation of transcriptions, auto updater support etc., you will need to buy the Pro version at a small fee.
