LightGPT

LightGPT-instruct-6B is a Transformer-based language model developed by AWS Contributors and fine-tuned on the OIG-small-chip2 instruction dataset. This model generates text in response to a prompt, with specific instructions formatted in a standard way. It is solely designed for English conversations and is licensed under Apache 2.0. The evaluation of the model includes metrics like LAMBADA PPL, LAMBADA ACC, WINOGRANDE, HELLASWAG, PIQA, and GPT-J.

The LightGPT-instruct-6B model is a natural language generation tool that can generate responses for conversational prompts requiring specific instructions. However, its limitations should be kept in mind while using it as it does not follow long instructions accurately or produce correct answers to math and reasoning questions; furthermore, it may occasionally generate false or misleading responses without any contextual understanding beyond the prompt given. Deployment to Amazon SageMaker is facilitated along with sample code provided to demonstrate the process.
